FERNANDO BELFIORE & ISADORA TOMASI:

THE LANDLORD’S GAME OR MOVEMENT STUDY FOR THE MARKET

[workshop]

“We can be noise. We can be random. We can do strange things, we can have imaginary companions. We can think and act on today’s world! ”

Enter the participatory space which calls for movements against the reification, consumption and privatisation of our bodies, perception, and relations. Following the concept by Fernando Belfiore and Isadora Tomasi, we will work on formations that aim for a subjective, hybrid and transformative process of shaping creativity towards new social imaginaries and real action.

While we play The Landlord’s Game, the historical board game of the feminist Elizabeth Magie, we’ll debate private property, rent, land, and authorship. The game was first conceptualized as an education towards sharing of the common and then appropriated and transformed into the Monopoly board game.

Queer, feminist, and radical, this workshop aims to be a playfully gathering debate with horizontal knowledge and experience exchange.
