INSAN:

DANCE WITH US, DANCE WITH YOURSELF

Critics say that Insan’s album Insan & grupa Ljudi has masterfully transformed the existential and emotional hardships of many generations “into an attractive modern design with the sexiest bass lines after Koja.” (Goran Kompoš) Indeed, in this music, the declining romantic relationship spills over into a transgressive political issue, we are dealing with the transformation of ideological, national fixations and, ultimately, those of genre, into a borderless horizon of transideology, transnationality, and thus into the idea of transgenre perspective. Their debut, Insan & Grupa Ljudi, released in 2019, has proposed a new musical decade where stiff genre categories such as punk, trip-hop and hardcore will be swept away by the entrance od sonorities of analog synthesizers, autotuned brass instruments, and by what may be the greatest horror of many alter-scenes: pop. Three years later, Insan is in the second phase of their artistic research. A new album, already announced at last year's Ment Festival, is on the horizon. The working title of the album is Zenit, but who knows if that’ll stick. What is certain is the direction of their artistic path: yugofuture.
