“Once socialization is eliminated, what remains?” This is the question which the performer Nenad Jelesijević both presents and answers. His answer is: “(an escape into) a song.” Jelesijević explains his artistic thought-flow within the new social conditions: “I sing from a wish to create a connective momentum among all bodies that are present; an atmosphere that doesn’t defy the systemic measures which restrict and limit social contact and the basic touch, but that which takes sociability as something that goes without saying. The connection with movement is in this process extremely escapistically experimental.”
