PROJET EXPÉRIENCE PROJET:
IL TRIELLO
Born from a wish to find a common ground of action between a musician and a dancer, rather than to push forward their individual virtuosity, Il Triello is neither a choreographic, nor a sound piece. Lisa Biscaro Balle, Thaïs Weishaupt, and Tom Goemare meet with no preconceived idea or predefined methodology, but rather take their encounter as a starting point of their research. The necessity of working in a horizontal way is what gathered them and it presents an anti-hierarchical and anti-disciplinary relation. In other words: their encounter is in itself an elaborate common ground. Their conceptual, as well as performative, set-up revolves around a single concrete action, thus encouraging direct interaction, proximity between the performers, and a birth of codependency. Their motto is confusion: “Whether it’s about disciplines or a satirical/serious note, this performance runs away from the possibility of being identified, categorized. We wish to prevent the audience from relying on a single interpretation, instead inviting them to question its perception.”
# no concept, no hierarchy, no discipline, only encounter, concrete action, direct interaction, question perception
