Boštjan Simon and Elvis Homan, the first a saxophonist and the latter a percussionist, both have highly branched artistic paths. They are both members of several musical projects (Simon: Etceteral, There be monsters, Boštjan Simon Kvintet; Homan: The Celestial Turkey, Quartzite 4tet, Elvis Homan Solo Project), in their past, as well as in their future are numerous collaborations, but on the Spider Festival 2020 the collaboration will occur precisely between the two of them. They are coming as an avant-garde impro jazz duet – sonically marked by noise and drones in the hands of improvisation, in the passing through acoustic and electronic music, and with a decisive aim to abolish all logical jazz forms. Their complex instrumental set-up reveals several samplers, triggers, modulators and other electronic delicacies, but also their central instruments: saxophone and drums. A merging of the separated, a new evolution.
