Research in the field of Russian and Ukrainian ethnic cultures and the interest in popular traditions bring to life the Slavic Summer, a music-dance performance by the groups Talisman and Ritmi planeta. 

Russian folk songs, dances, and rituals which mark the Summer solstice are related to fire, flora, and water, all of which are said to give power and protection. It is thus not unusual that during the Summer rites people jumped over the fire, knit garlands, and performed rituals for love, health, and happiness. At Spider 2021, the cast of Ritmi planeta will perform the dances Dance with garlands and Women gossipers. So there you go, let the Summer solstice begin!

The associations Talisman and Ritmi planeta focus on the promotion of dance and music cultures, traditions and customs in various countries, most notably the Slavic ones, as well as the promotion of cultural diversity and mutual respect. The associations are managed by the singer, musician, and director Irina Gouchtchine (Russia) and the dance pedagogue and a specialist for art therapy Iryna Stanković (Ukraine)
